Jiufen
Jiufen is located in Ruifang District, New Taipei City. Before the gold mining industry flourished, Jiufen was primarily engaged in camphor extraction and distillation. There were ninety camphor distillation stoves in the area, with ten stoves counting as one "fen," resulting in a total of nine "fens." Over time, this led to the place being named Jiufen.
